Abstracts

 

Authors will be guided automatically through the system during submitting the abstract. Please note that the Program Committee reserves the right to select and finalize the entire program.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Abstracts can be submitted under any of the following topics:

  1. Spine and peripheral nerve surgery
  2. Neurooncological surgery (Including Skull Base surgery)
  3. Paediatric Neurosurgery
  4. Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery
  5. Vascular Neurosurgery
  6. Neurotrauma and Intensive care
  7. Infection
  8. Surgical Techniques
  9. Neuroanatomy
  10. Neuroradiology
  11. Neuropathology
  12. Neurosurgical Nursing
  13. Others (Malpractice, History, Education, etc...)

 

The deadline for submission of abstracts is:  May 15, 2012. Abstracts submitted after this date will not be accepted.

PRESENTATION TYPES

               During the meeting, orals and e-posters will be allowed. The authors are allowed to choose their presentation type as oral or just e-poster. Please bear in mind that the Scientific Committee will review all submitted abstracts and decide as the topic the abstract will be presented under and the presentation types of the abstracts.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Authors are kindly requested to adhere to the following guidelines, based on the author guidelines;

  1. Only on-line submission via website will be accepted. Abstracts submitted via fax or mail will NOT be accepted. 
  2. The abstracts should be originals.
  3. The abstracts should be in English.
  4. Title must be concise and informative.
  5. Title text word limit is 16 words.
  6. The affiliation details of all authors; department, institution/hospital, country and e-mail addresses should be typed.
  7. The necessary information; name, surname, e-mail address and country of contact persons should be typed.
  8. Presenter must be inscribed in the meeting, once the abstract is accepted, in order the abstract being submitted for publication.
  9. Each registered author may present max 2 papers, but can co-author more than one.  Please, note: contact person can be different than presenter.
  10. Please provide a structured abstract of 200 to 300 words which should be divided into the following sections:
    - Objectives (stating the main purposes)
    - Materials and Methods
    - Results
    - Discussion
    - Conclusions
  1. Tables can be inserted, where appropriate.
  2. Please provide keywords which can be used for indexing purpose.
  3. Please read carefully and follow the instructions, as incomplete submissions will not be considered.
  4. All abstracts will be refereed by the ACNS Scientific Committee, which will assess:

     - Adjustment to format (language, completion of all data).
     - Appropriateness of content, originality, clarity, completion of the research.
     - Scientific content or technical merits of abstract.
    Abstracts may be submitted to minor changes.
  1. Be sure that all changes, corrections and proofreading have been carried out before submitting.
  2. Please note: once you click "Submit", you will not be able to edit the information provided. 
    To make changes after you have clicked "Submit", please restart the process or contact the Congress Secretariat mentioning your name and abstract confirmation number.
  1. The author indicated as contact person will be informed on the status of the submitted abstract (accepted / rejected), its date and time by July 1, 2012, via e-mail.
  2. Please refer to included abstract ID number in all subsequent correspondence.
  3. Abstracts will be published in the abstract book only on receipt of payment in full for registration.
